Jimena Diaz Cornejo, Legal Assistant
Jimena joined our firm as a legal assistant in 2023. With over three years of experience working in research, academia, and the non-profit sector, she is well-equipped to support our lawyers with a variety of cases and provide our clients with the best possible outcomes.
Her passion for immigration law began at a young age when she immigrated to the United States as a teen. She later pursued her education at the University of Virginia (UVA), where she continued to develop her passion for law and international affairs.
When not working, she enjoys reading and learning new languages. She is currently taking Russian classes in her spare time. She also firmly believes in giving back to the community and has volunteered with non-profit La Clinica del Pueblo and her university’s volunteering organization Madison House in the past.
As a Legal Assistant, she believes in the importance of treating our clients with respect and empathy and works tirelessly to ensure that their legal needs are met. She is committed to providing each and every client with the individualized attention they deserve and strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for them.
Jimena is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs, with distinction, University of Virginia. Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, with distinction, University of Virginia.
